Interim Pastor:

Hello, I am Greg Cruice, the Interim Pastor at HBPC. I was born in New Orleans and lived there until I was 37 and entered seminary. I became a Presbyterian at the age of 25 years old when planning to marry Janis my wife of now 28 years. Like many New Orleanians I was raised Catholic and Janis was a Baptist resulting in a Presbyterian family. Janis and I were both elders in the Woodland Presbyterian Church where all three of our children were baptized.

I graduated from the University of New Orleans with a degree in Business Administration. I have a Masters of Divinity degree from Columbia Theological Seminary. I have completed all the class work for my Doctorate in Worship Studies from the Robert Webber Institute for Worship Studies in Orange Park, Fl. and I am beginning to write my dissertation.

Since being ordained in 1997 I have served three churches in Norcross, GA., Mandeville, LA. and Fruitland Park, FL. Each church experienced numerical growth and an increase in worship attendance during my ministry. I served in each Presbytery on various committees and task forces.

I am truly blessed by God to serve Hodges Boulevard during this season of transition. This is a great church with wonderful people eager to serve Christ. My goal is to help God’s people prepare for the next season God has planned for them when He elects to reveal the next permanent pastor He has chosen.

Associate Pastor:

Hi, I am Holly Smith, the Associate Pastor. I joined Hodges in January of 2009 after completing a year-long internship at two small churches in South Dakota. I have a B.S. from Steven F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX and a MDIV degree from Austin Theological Seminary in Austin Texas.

I am married to my college sweetheart Matthew and we are blessed with three amazing children, Sarah, Gideon and Micah. I love to cook, read, sew, and spend time with my family.
